HOTEL POLICIES

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
Standard check-in time is 4PM and check-out is by 12 Noon. Early check-in requests and extended check-out times are based upon availability; additional rates may apply.

100% SMOKE FREE
Crowne Plaza® Albany – The Desmond Hotel is an entirely non-smoking property; per the NYS Clean Indoor Air Act smoking/vaping is not permitted in any guest rooms or any areas inside the hotel.  Should you or a guest smoke/vape in your room, a minimum fee of $250 will be charged for cleaning.  Smoking/vaping is permitted outside each of our main entrance doors.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Crowne Plaza Albany – The Desmond Hotel observes a 24 hour cancellation policy.  Cancellations are accepted until 4PM EST, 24 hours PRIOR to your arrival date.  Cancellations received after this time will be charged one night’s room fee and taxes.

EARLY ARRIVALS & LATE DEPARTURES
If you expect to arrive early in the day and would like immediate access to your room, we recommend booking the room for the prior night to guarantee immediate access. Similarly for late departures, reserving an additional night will guarantee access to your guest room until you depart. If you choose not to reserve an additional night, we will be glad to store your bags at the Front Desk.

PET POLICY
Crowne Plaza Albany – The Desmond Hotel permits service animals and domesticated dogs and cats under 95 lbs in our guest rooms. All animals must be announced and registered with our Front Desk at time of check-in. Pet owners must complete a copy of our Hotel Pet Agreement, all pets must have all required and up to date vaccinations.  Limit of 1 pet per room.  Pets can never be left unattended, and must be caged with the owner present while the guest room is serviced by any member of hotel staff.  Pets must be kept on a leash or in a pet carrier when outside the guest room; pets are not permitted in the hotel courtyards, restaurant or other food and beverage areas.  There will be a $75.00 non-refundable service fee, and a separate $100.00 deposit per stay.  Additional fees may apply in the event a pet causes damages.  The hotel has select pet friendly rooms located on the first floor and these are preassigned before check-in.

REFRIGERATORS & MICROWAVES

All of our guest rooms and suites include a mini refrigerator.  Our Executive, Duplex and Presidential Suites each additionally contain an un-stocked wet bar with microwave.  Microwaves are also available upon request to our Front Desk, a fee of $15 per day will apply.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
We accept cash, money orders, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and Diners Club.  A company check is accepted for payment if received prior to arrival.  Personal checks are not accepted.  Third party billing is available via a credit card authorization form; a completed form must be submitted prior to the arrival date.

LOST & FOUND
If you left an item behind during your stay, please visit the website ILeftMyStuff to report your lost item and we will respond to your claim within 24 business hours.

PARKING
Complimentary parking is provided for hotel guests only.  Guests who purchase our Stay, Park & Fly package receive up to two weeks complimentary parking for one vehicle; after two weeks an additional daily parking fee will be charged and additional vehicles will be subject to a daily parking fee.  Please notify our Front Desk at check-in that you will be leaving a vehicle in order to receive your parking pass, and directions on where to leave your vehicle while you travel.

If you wish to park your vehicle on our property and use our shuttle service to the Albany Airport, but you are NOT staying overnight as a hotel guest, please stop in at our Front Desk to complete an Extended Parking Form to purchase a parking pass for the fee of $15 per day.

We reserve the right to tow any vehicle, at any time, at the owner’s expense if a vehicle does not have a parking pass, if we are not notified of how long the vehicle will be left, and/or if the vehicle is not parked in the correct area. Vehicles in our parking lots are left at the owner’s discretion, we are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle while it is in our parking areas.
