Jane & Prateek
We were honored to be a part of Jane and Prateek’s wedding in July, which was a large celebration including both Hindu and Catholic ceremonies with several beautiful attire changes among the wedding party. The day began with gorgeous Hindu dress and a baraat outside the hotel. A baraat is the groom’s wedding procession, in which he traditionally rides on a horse to the ceremony location while accompanied by family members and friends with dancing and singing. In this case the baraat was led outside around the hotel, and into our lobby before ending at King Street ballroom for the Hindu ceremony. A beautiful mandap in rich gold and red, with lavish florals on the pillars and stage made a dramatic altar for the wedding rituals.
The wedding party then changed into more traditional tuxedos and dresses for the second ceremony, before entering the wedding reception. Our white damask linens and pretty floral centerpieces with blue and cream highlighted the wedding party’s blue gowns. The couple then changed again into stunning red and gold dress for more dancing and cutting of the cake, which featured a custom bride and groom in Hindu costume on the top. Their photographer took so many wonderful photos, it was very difficult to decide which ones to share. Congratulations to Jane and Prateek, this was truly a wedding to remember!
